Calypso previously known as Satin
Calypso has settled in really well. She was very shy and wary initially, it took her a while to get used to us and the noises around her.
Unfortunately she got a throat infection in her first week with us, which meant her jabs being delayed, meaning she wasn’t allowed out. She was unsure of what to make of this, but soon adjusted.
Since her jabs, she has decided she is both an outdoor and indoor cat. She doesn’t like the rain and will happily stay in all day when it’s raining. She loves curling up on our beds or the thick blanket in the lounge.
It has taken her a while to get used to our little one, who sometimes still shrieks with excitement when she sees Calypso. The first words on a morning are usually ‘where’s Lola?’ Lola is Calypso, she can’t quite say Calypso yet. They are still getting used to each other.
Calypso is a bit quirky and likes chasing shadows, including her own, which is very funny to watch. She also watches us like a hawk at mealtimes, in the hope that food may drop on the floor (which it often does by our little one).
Calypso has become a big part of our family and we love her to bits.
Thank you Heaton Cats for rehousing her with us
