This is Mabel our ever so sweet black and white girl. Its been quite a challenge for Mabel at the sanctuary as she came in with her son Charlie and it was instantly quite clear these cats were not used to being around people. Who knows how long it had been since Mabel had felt the touch of a human hand? It took a good few weeks before one of our socialisers managed to get Mabel to accept a treat from her hand and then after many hours of trying she finally got to stroke and touch Mabel.

Since then Mabel has come on a lot, she is still a very timid cat but now lets you stroke her and will play with you if she is in the mood. We think the time is right now for Mabel to find her forever home, either with a single person or a couple, in a quiet home, who are willing to give her time and let her gain trust. Mabel we are sure in the correct environment will become a loving relaxed cat with her special owner.

Mabel is used to being outside so at some point in the future hopefully she will be able to venture outside again but not until she has bonded with her owner/s which could take quite a while. If you have the patience to give Mabel a try, the rewards will be huge. The home will need to be away from main or busy roads and other hazards and some green areas.

Mabel has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, vet checked, flead and wormed and is ready to leave the sanctuary. If this sweet girl sounds like a cat that would suit your home please apply using the Application Form below.

An adoption fee of £100 applies.
