Our rescue is fortunate to have help from a wonderful team of volunteers, who help us with cat care, socialising, sorting donations and helping customers in our charity shop.
Cat care
The volunteer shifts are 10.30-12.30 (10-12 on Sundays). Volunteers help us clean the cat pens and cat rooms and chat to our furry residents! We work in teams of two, so you will always be placed with an experienced volunteer.
Cat socialising
Our socialisers spend around an hour playing with and generally interacting with our cats and kittens, some of whom may not be used to humans, and are a little shy. Socialising hours are 2-3pm.
Donation sorting
We are fortunate to receive many donated items here, and these are sorted in a back room before being priced and put into the shop. Our team of volunteers help us decide which things are suitable for Vinted, for example, or our jumble sales or shop. We recycle anything that cannot be sold.
Our Charity Shop
Our shop volunteers help stock the shop, keep the displays tidy, make customers feel welcome and help with sales. The shop shifts are 10.30am-1pm or 1pm-3.45pm.
We do not have vacancies in all categories on each day, but if you are applying, please let us know your availability.
Please note that unfortunately we are currently unable to offer work experience placements. You also need to be over 16 years of age to volunteer.
