About Us
The Heatons Cat Rescue Group was formed in 1998 and continues to thrive thanks to the generosity of the public and the dedication and hard work of our volunteers.
We take in stray and unwanted cats, providing we have room, have them vet checked & treated and find them suitable forever homes.
Details of cats and kittens available can be found on the pages on our website: we have an application process, so please see our application form and read our rehoming policy. We do not hold open viewing sessions: invitations are given to view the cats once the application has been assessed.
Please note that we do NOT fund veterinary treatment for owned or stray cats, nor are we able to give veterinary advice as we are not veterinary trained.
Our main source of funding comes from our charity shop, located in the heart of Heaton Chapel in Stockport. We offer a wide range of new and second hand goods kindly donated to us by members of the public, from kitchen equipment to toys and everything else in between. Our shop is open Tuesday to Saturday, 10.30am til 3.45pm, closed Sunday and Monday, so there is plenty of opportunity for you to come and find a bargain.
If you would like to donate to the shop, please visit us during opening hours with your items. Due to health and safety reasons, we cannot sell any items that have been left outside our shop overnight. We do not take DVDs, CDs or videos.
If you would like to make a cash donation, you can do so by donating via PayPal or JustGiving
